A lifelong Georgian, and proud "Grady Baby," Anthia is the daughter of a trio of talented parents. Her deceased birth father was an Atlanta Police supervisor, her mother a longtime paraprofessional for Atlanta Public Schools, and her Second Dad, a career industrialist for General Motors and Sara Lee.
Reared alongside her two brothers in a loving, working class household, Anthia learned early on the value of keeping Christ first in her life, and gleaned a timeless appreciation for "the Golden Rule", i.e. "treating others the way you want to be treated."
Happily married for 25 years to her soulmate David, a personal trainer by trade, this proud mother of four and grandmother has spent her professional life in committed service to the community. With over two decades of expertise as a home school mom, Anthia maximizes her time as an American Heart Association Basic Life Support CPR Instructor and a multi-licensed PRN. She owes her success as a small business woman in the healthcare industry to years honing her customer service and managerial talents handling front and back office duties in the medical industry.
As a former distinguished Irene K. Woodruff Scholar at Agnes Scott College, Anthia's active voluntarism has connected her with the needs of local residents. Once a scout herself, Anthia has served as Facilitator and Program Coordinator for the Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta, helping girls like her young daughter to discover their individual strengths and purpose. She continues her involvement with her friendly neighbors of the Rotary Club of Milton, and has been an active role model with Girls On the Run Atlanta.
